3 out of 5 stars Great Fun, but has problems.   January 5, 2009
Brian (Fort Wayne, IN)

I have more fun with this game than any other game I have ever owned, however the game is riddled with problems.

1) after only two hours of play I started seeing problems with the microphone not registering tambourine/cowbell hits.

2) about thirty minutes later the whole games audio started cutting out as if someone was muting the TV.

3) After about two days of play I've now noticed that the drums are constantly losing sync and not registering hits for a couple seconds at a time. (I can see the Blue Lights go out and come back on out of my peripheral vision.)

Problems 1 and 2 above somehow turned out to be related... I did some experimenting and found out that whenever the microphone was enabled the audio would mute for a few seconds at a time in the song. I purchased a new logitech mouse and found that to completely fix problems 1 and 2.

I am still experiencing problem 3.. It is very annoying.. Especially when you have a good run going on and working on a perfect then the stupid thing loses sync and causes about 6 or 7 misses in a row. I have also noticed this with the guitar as well, but not as bad.

Also if you leave the game idle for more than a couple minutes (potty break, or have to answer the phone) all instruments will completely lose sync and the only way to get it back is to hit the sync button on the remote receivers and shut off all instruments and turn them back on.

Aside from all of the Glitches the game is great fun... I just wish it wasn't so buggy... I feel bad for giving such a fun game a mediocre rating.

5 out of 5 stars Better than before!   January 4, 2009
K. Fullmer (USA)
We got Rock Band Wii for Christmas and played it for a week. It was a lot of fun but a little disappointing in the features. The wireless guitar went out after only a week and we had to take the whole system back. Nobody had Rock Band in for the Wii so we decided to spend the extra money and upgrade to Rock Band 2 Wii. MUCH better than the first RB!!!

The drums are wireless with a reinforced pedal which is nice. They also have the ports to support an expansion pack for cymbals if you like those. The features alone in the game mode are so much better. The character creator is great and lots of fun. It has great tracks and is altogether so much fun.

If you don't have RB1 yet, don't bother with it...go for RB2 and be ready to rock all day and all night!!!

5 out of 5 stars Never received mine   January 4, 2009
J. Dorsey (USA)
I ordered Rockband 2 for the Wii on December 19th. It was to be a present for three of my sons from their older brother. We ordered it through amazon because we purchase 95% of our gifts from amazon.com Well, it was supposed to be delivered on Dec 24th. It was never came. It was shipped through FedEx and they claim that it was shipped and delivered on Dec. 31st and left on my front porch. Who in there right mind would leave a package on someone's front porch? I believe that the driver from FedEx gave himself a nice Christmas present. Now i can't even get it re-delivered because Amazon doesn't have it in stock. Next time, i will make sure I purchase big and expensive items at a physical store so i can make sure I have it in my hands. My kids are sad and my oldest son is crushed that his big surprise was ruined. I really hope Amazon switches shipping companies.

5 out of 5 stars Vast improvement of an already great game.   December 31, 2008
Jamey Carter (Seattle, WA)
I would recommend RockBand 2 to anyone 9 to 90. Although the style of Rock music is deverse to cater to a wide audience... there's plenty for the 70's rocker to the modern EMO/Buzzcutter.

And online access allows you to join up with others and form bands across the world.

The hardware improvements are sizable too. Harmonix (game developers) listened to the Rockband community and delivers a homerun in this sequel.

5 out of 5 stars Best Wii Game of 2008??   December 31, 2008

This game is a must have for every wii fan. It brings every single aspect about the game in the PS3 and 360, showing us how powerful the wii can be. It is the only 3rd party game that fully uses the wii hardware. It is done great, not like most wii games with rushed graphics and features. You will notice few difference between the 360 and the Wii versions of the game. The instruments are HUGELY improved, no more useless drums and guitar, Harmonix finally got over Activision, the guitars for both games are almost equal but Rock Band 2 Drums are far superior, specially if you buy the cymbals.
