1 out of 5 stars Bad Quality   January 6, 2009
Ray (Torrance, CA United States)
When I received the first one, I was surprised at how bad is the quality of sound and the Mic. Were extremely noisy, so I thought I got a defective one then I ordered the replacement, it arrived and had the same issues, I have read a lot of good reviews on this headset but my experience with this was terrible

4 out of 5 stars Great product but not cheap   January 5, 2009
Gabriel Ouimet Bolduc (Canada)
I bought these 2 months ago, was really eager to get them. It took a while to recieve them but they were in one piece. They are confortable even if the first few time you wear them the vinyl pad can be bothering. The sound is awesome but could probably be matched by a cheaper headphone. The closed-aureal is great for sound dampering but it is quite disturbing when you have to use the microphone as you will tend to speak louder and probably bother the people around if there is any. Speaking of which the microphone is cristal clear on ventrillo or Teamspeak. However be aware that without a quality sound card you will not get the best of these. I personnaly have an external low end sound card and I'm pretty sure the output quality could be better especialy from the bass.

Pros :
Confortable
Awesome sound dampering
Cristal clear microphone sound input
Great sound output
Solidly made

Cons :
Expensive;
Bass poor;
Too much dampering leading to speaking louder when using the mic;
Stereophonic so there is no 5.1 sound;
Vinyl pads can be bothering the first few days;
For audiophil gamer mostly.

Conclusion: You can't go wrong with these sennheiser. However not going wrong comes at a price. You would probably be better with the PC160 serie 4 out of 5.

5 out of 5 stars A winner   December 21, 2008

I am very pleased with my Sennheiser headset, I travel frequently with them folded inside my laptop bag, they are comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. I couldn't be more pleased.

5 out of 5 stars excellent ... however   December 12, 2008

i always had the problem of "painful ears" because i play games for hours everyday.this headset is by far the best i have tried.

now i can set and play with these phones around my head for 8 hours no problem , except one thing : i feel that my ear is sweaty and somewhat hot. i wish they added a very small fan (strange idea) to each ear to aid circulate air.

5 out of 5 stars amazing sound quality and comfort   November 19, 2008

Amazing sound quality. Some people have complained about a lack of bass with these headphones. I'm using a Creative X-fi Extreme Gamer sound card, and there is plenty of bass. The highs are a bit more emphasized, but you have to expect that because these headphones are made for gaming first and foremost. During gaming, the detailed sound quality has already made a huge difference. It's very easy to hear where your enemies are approaching from. Compared to any other gaming headset I have ever used, the PC-350 is by far the best for both comfort and sound quality. If you have a nice sound card and want or need to play your games with headphones on, this headset is a great choice. **One very important thing to note**: If you have this headset plugged into the headphone jack of a powered source, like a mini-amp or the headphone jack on an existing surround sound controller (like the one that came with my Logitech 5.1 setup) be aware that you can not have your volume in windows cranked all the way up. The headphones get very distorted with the main windows volume turned up too high, which I think is the mistake a lot of people are making. Instead, roll down your main volume in Windows to 60%, and use the volume control on the device you plugged the headphones into. This way you can get very high volume with absolutely zero distortion. I have not tried going directly into the soundcard because I'm not willing to unplug my surround speakers from the soundcard every time I wish to switch over to headphones. Also for the record, I have the in-line volume on the headset cable turned all the way up at all times. All of my volume adjustments are done with my powered speaker controller. The sound quality of these headphones is nothing short of amazing. If your sound is not totally crisp and clean, you dont have it set up properly.
