new view on an old favorite February 8, 2008 caseylynn (Illinois,USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
When jenga came out as a game my family got it an I have continued to play it but now I keep different hours than my family. So I would love to play the game to test my skills but the noise would bother them. I found out that nintendo had the game so I jumped on the chance to play it. I have a blast with it and the ability to play with others in the same room is so unreal. I love it and would tell anyone that loves puzzles or the old jenga to give it a try.

When it came to board games that were all about fun in the 90's, Milton Bradley made some of those games really happen that used more about our mind and balance than we had ever known. That was the case with the game Jenga. The classic block-building game where you took a stack of blocks and piled it higher and higher, and check to see if it still balances straight, but one false move, and you lose the game. The game worked with the times, but unfortunately all good things these days we don't have as much time for in games. That can also be said with bringing the game to the Nintendo DS. Jenga for the Nintendo DS takes on the gameplay of the classic block building game as you and your opponents try to build up your blocks without knocking the tower down. The graphics fair well, but the gameplay doesn't actually make it feel like it is as addictive as the fun. You use your DS stylus to accurately place you tile on the next level. However, the gameplay is good as a party game, it just misses the mark a whole lot for single play action. All in all, Jenga isn't as much of a must buy if you own the Nintendo DS. If you do want to buy the game, make sure its with a friend or a family member at home, and actually reality. I loved it as a board game, but not the way I had hoped for the video game. It takes the blockbuster, and busts the fun out. Graphics: C Sound: C Control: C 1/2+ Fun & Enjoyment: C- for solo; C for mutiplayer Overall: C 1/2-
