Like Virtua Cop but much better (and with zombies) December 31, 2008 irukandji Definition of Rail Shooter: "The player's viewpoint automatically turns and moves through the level as if player were attached to a railroad, hence the name of the subgenre. As the player is propelled forward, the player may have limited freedom of motion to dodge incoming attacks." - Wikipedia This game is getting bashed and rated too low by fanboys and people who didn't know what type of game it was before buying. Time Crisis 4 for the PS3, which is a rail-shooter, is rated the same 3 & 1/2 stars! And that corded gun doesn't aim right, shooting people was no fun and couple that with awkward gameplay. Umbrella Chronicles is actually good. Aiming is good, because of the Wii mote, and killing is fun. I just wanna aim, shoot, kill. Gameplay wise, the controls are good. I used the Nyko Perfect Shot gun, the one that looks like a white glock or pistol. The nunchuk connects to the bottom of it and voila. I'd recommend getting it, makes it funner. Something to get used to is the fact that during the big bosses and occasionally throughout the game you'll have to avoid/dodge the attacks by pressing "A", "B" or "Move the Wii mote side to side". And if you hit both buttons and waggle just to make sure you did everything, it won't work. You have to hit only the button(s) it wants. For me, I only got frustrated at one part with this, since if I didn't avoid I'd die by the explosion and have to restart from the checkpoint (although the 2 points were close together), but maybe it was because I wasn't used to it yet. If you target the weakspots, which will make the crosshair glow red when aimed over, you can cause a lot more damage. And in the case of the Zombies, you can blow they're head off. You earn Stars/Ranks every time you play a map. Those stars are used to upgrade your weapons. You can replay any map as much as you want and keep earning stars. You'll get better versions of the weapons as you get farther in the game. More stages will become available as you beat the game. There are also minor stages (subplots of the story), that are easier than the main ones, but have to be unlocked by getting documents etc. Difficulty wise there are 3 modes: Easy, Medium, and Hard. I beat the game on Easy Mode but some parts were hard. The big boss of the whole game took me over 10 tries. All of the strategies/techniques that can be used to kill the bosses can be figured out fairly easily. I knew this was a "rail shooter" like Virtua Cop before I played it, in fact that is the kind of game I wanted. Besides House of the Dead and Target Terror, I can't even think of many rail-type shooters for the Wii. This has to be best of its kind.
Great 2 player co-op game! December 28, 2008 J. Ross (USA) I got this game because I was looking for a fun, 2 player co-op game to play with my boyfriend. This was a huge hit for both of us. Game was very entertaining but difficult in some spots. Surprisingly we were a good team because he can shoot (and kill the zombies) and I can't shoot (and could find all the hidden objects by firing erratically). Great co-op game that can also be well enjoyed as a 1 player.

THIS IS A FUN GAME BUT THE TWO PLAYER IS ALL MOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TIME PROPERLY.NOT MUCH REPLAY VAULE EITHER.
Remapping button's system, just stinks November 18, 2008 Luis De La Rosa What a shame... The game is good, if you're like me, a House of the Dead's fanatic and a co-op lover, and a resident evil player. But, just like RE4 (wich is a excellent game), you can't configure your buttons freely. So, you can't make the Z button to be the trigger. Only three controllers options, but stuck. How difficult can be do a code to remapping buttons, even when you can do this since the SNES times ?, come on CAPCOM !! 50 bucks for this... nooo
