It was okay... October 3, 2006 David A. Smith (Webberville, Mi, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was an okay game untile you have to shoot the floor and you can't do it. why? oh, well it was kinda stupid anyways.
Fun Game For Fans And Non Fans April 6, 2006 GameraRocks (Gillsville, GA USA) If you like puzzles, than this is still a great game to have. As Peter, you figure out ways to break blocks and retrieve the items you need without dying by the blocks returning or a monster attacking. Some levels are fairly simple, but they become more difficult and you have to think more as you progress through the game. Overall really fun, but it's not much of a Ghostbusters game since that's not even the gameplay. As a thinking game, it's great and real fun but it didn't have to be Ghostbusters to make the same game. It could have been anything, that's how little this has to do with the series and movies
RGBs head to the GB August 28, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Ghostbusters First GameBoy outing is slightly short of spectacular. Obviously borrowing heavily from the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle games, The Real Ghostbusters improves on the formula, but only slightly with two adjustments. Peter Venkman (The only playable character) can crawl and fire his proton pack to break blocks. The Ghostbusters theme sounds decent as does the rest of the music, but still has that tinny GameBoy sound to it. Oh well. And the game is black & white too. But it accepts decent colors on the newer GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance
It is based on the cartoon not GB II, dispite this it is fun December 9, 1999 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The game is not based on Ghostbusters II, however, the game is intereseting. You are Peter Venkman; trying to find your way through a haunted house. The way you do this is by collecting stars to unlock the door at the end. This game is more of a puzzler than a ghostbusting adventure. The puzzles consist on how to get around the breakable blocks (with your proton gun) and collect the stars. Another added "bonus" is that you only have a certain time limit to collect all the stars. Even though this is an older game, it has saving capabliities. That comes in handy when your up to level 26 and do not want to start over. Happy gaming!
This game is fun for all ages. November 19, 1999 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is based on the 1989 seguel to the movie Ghostbusters. I have played this many times and find it very fun. For any GB fan, I suggest you try it. And even if you are not a GB fan you will enjoy it.
